Dr. Joel Rios OMD.
Dr. Joel is your preeminent Las Vegas Doctor of Oriental Medicine and is a graduate of the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, located in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Joel volunteered in PTSD based acupuncture clinics, in Colorado and Nevada after the tragic shootings in 2012 and 2017. Dr. Joel worked with the amazing team at Integrative Acupuncture of Southern Nevada in 2017 and 2018 before founding Desert Ridge Acupuncture. In 2024, Dr. Joel worked at Wongu University, supervising and mentoring students in the community student clinic. Dr. Joel is a Las Vegas native who enjoys serving his community by spreading awareness of Chinese Medicine and offering affordable, complimentary health care.
Dr. Yuka Sakai OMD.
Dr. Yuka is a licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine in the state of Nevada and is nationally board certified in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Biomedicine. Originally from New Jersey, she moved to Las Vegas to pursue her training in Chinese Medicine and earned her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Wongu University of Oriental Medicine. At Desert Ridge Acupuncture, Dr. Yuka works with patients experiencing a variety of pain and musculoskeletal conditions and enjoys helping patients improve their mobility, function, and overall well-being through individualized acupuncture treatments. She primarily speaks English and can also understand conversational Japanese. She is passionate about serving the Las Vegas community through Chinese Medicine in a supportive and compassionate environment.
Dr. Ann Qi OMD.
Dr. Ann Qi (“Chi”) graduated from Alhambra Medical University in 2024 and has been licensed in the state of Nevada since July 2025. She is credentialed through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (formerly NCCAOM, now NCBAHM) and is fluent in both Chinese and English. Dr. Ann values creating a comfortable and supportive environment where patients feel heard and cared for throughout their healing journey. She treats a wide variety of conditions with a strong focus on orthopedic and pain-related concerns, helping patients manage discomfort, improve mobility, and return to the activities they enjoy most. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ann enjoys spending time with her family and exploring new food spots throughout the city.
